The company immediately gained notoriety for its quality and affordability. The company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona but they use hemp that has been grown organically in Kentucky in all their products. The reasoning for the use of Kentucky hemp is simple, the Arizona region does not offer the best soil or climatic conditions to cultivate superior hemp crops. However, Kentucky has the perfect combination of soil and climate to produce truly outstanding plants that are brimming in cannabinoids.

All of PureKana’s products are full-spectrum so they are brimming with cannabinoids. However, they have less than 0.2 percent THC which makes them legal for sale in most places around the world. Manufacturing Process of PureKana

All of the hemp that goes into PureKana products is cultivated organically from non-GMO plants. The plants are grown and further processed under what is known as the Pilot Research Hemp Farms program to further ensure purity and that the plants are grown only with natural farming practices. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture oversees the program which is focused on guaranteeing consistency of the hemp. Herbicides, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and chemical-based plant fertilizers are not used to further help ensure purity.

Flavor and Appearance of PureKana

PureKana’s full spectrum oils are very smooth. The oil has an earthy taste that many compare to bitter coffee but it can be disguised with flavors. PureKana offers vanilla and mint flavors which most people find palatable if you don’t particularly care for the natural flavor of a full-spectrum oil.

Extraction Process

The gold standard of extraction is Co2 because it leaves no solvents in the final product. Purekana uses Co2 extraction at low temperatures to slowly pull all of the cannabinoids out of the plant’s fibers. The final CBD oil contains no solvents and is 100 percent pure.

PureKana Lab Testing

PureKana believes strongly in third party laboratory testing. They work with ProVerde Laboratories which is one of the leading labs in the US for testing cannabis products for numerous leading brands. PureKana has a link in their FAQ that is supposed to lead you to their certificate of analysis (COA) for each batch. Sadly, the link is down. It has been non-functional for some time and there is no date set for it to become live again. However, if you continue scrolling on each product page you will eventually find a link that directs you to the lab results for that particular batch (only 1 batch – probably the last one). We wish that the link was easier to find and not so hidden.
