Charlotte’s Web the company
On the ‘Investor Relations’ page, Charlotte’s Web says it is number 1 in terms of market share for all CBD supplements. This family-run business, otherwise known as The Stanley Brothers, has been offering industrial hemp products to the market since 2011. Charlotte’s Web offers both full-spectrum and CBD isolate products in the form of tinctures, capsules, topicals, pet products, and now gummies as well.
The majority of Charlotte’s Web products are CO2 extracted, with the Original Formula being the only product that is solely alcohol extracted. CO2 extraction is a newer form of CBD extraction and is what most of the CBD supplement companies on the market utilize to create their products. Alcohol extraction is more cost effective, but when it’s not done right, it can leave alcohol residue in the final product. Very few CBD companies focus solely on alcohol extraction because of this.
Charlotte’s Web adheres to cGMP manufacturing processes, which means that the FDA has inspected its facilities for similar standards as used in pharmaceutical compounding. Charlotte’s Web actually got a 98 on its last GMP audit. The company utilizes non-certified organic growing practices and are US Hemp Authority certified. The capsules are non-GMO, vegan friendly and gluten free.
Inside each bottle of Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules
The Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules by Charlotte’s Web contain 25 mg of full-spectrum hemp extract. This means Charlotte’s Web uses the entire plant (that’s above ground) to make the product, keeping the entire cannabinoid profile intact. That means this product does contain the legal limits of THC, which is not enough to get you high. Preliminary studies suggest that full-spectrum products give you the benefit of all the cannabinoids working together on your behalf in what is known as the “entourage effect.”
Each capsule is filled with a hemp extract supplement in olive oil as the carrier oil. The container has 30 capsules. When you do ingest CBD as a capsule, unless the product is nano emulsified (this capsule is not), some of the potency is lost due to gastrointestinal acids. However, the benefit of taking CBD in capsule form is that the compounds tend to stay in your system longer.

Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules test results
Charlotte’s Web test results can be quite an ordeal to find, which is why we link directly to the search page here. You must use a QR code to get to the page otherwise, which may prove to be a stumbling block if you aren’t familiar with them. Once you have gotten to the search page, you’ll enter your ‘LOT’ number. Sometimes this is called the ‘BATCH’ number. This information can be found at the bottom of the box and bottle, and in your packing slip, written in a light green color.
The test results are completed by Eurofins, also located in Colorado. The test results for the Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid CBD Capsules, at least for this batch numbered 190517B, showed that THC came in at 0.11 percent. This strain also tested for CBG at 0.4mg per capsule, and for CBC at 2.3 mg per capsule. The test results also showed that each capsule actually had 26 mg of CBD (a little more than advertised!) This lot also passed all tests for microbials and pesticides, which helps show that these products, although not certified organic, don’t have additional pesticide residues.

The packaging of Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules
The Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules only just came out in the fall of 2019. In fact, they are taking the place of Charlotte’s Web Extra Strength Capsules (Which contained only 18 mg of CBD). With this new product, Charlotte’s Web revamped the packaging, adding a copper or gold like highlighted color to the total amount of CBD and a few other places on top of the logo of the Rocky Mountains. You can see Charlotte’s Web and the name, but the bottle and the box itself are both pretty busy. The capsules are delivered in a dark amber glass bottle with the ingredients list on the back of both the box and bottle. I’ve already complained about the terrible job identifying how to find the test results, and that may be (at least in part) because the labeling is so busy. The label is pretty, don’t get me wrong, but with so much going on the label, important information like batch numbers (or lot numbers) can be missed among the clutter.

How Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid capsules help me
A little over a year ago, I started supplementing with the predecessor of these liquid capsules, the Extra Strength capsules. That’s why when these newer products hit the market, I was excited to see if there was much difference. Personally, I liked the powder formulation because I’ve had so many other liquid capsules leak on me.
I liked the Extra Strength capsules because I could take them during the day and not get sleepy. When I tried the Liquid Capsules, true to the Charlotte’s Web brand, these capsules helped me to relax, feel comfortable in my skin, and to focus. (Big bonus there!) About 90 minutes after taking my first dose, and an incredible amount of productivity later, it dawned on me, I hadn’t looked up or at my phone. I also felt relief in spots that usually hurt (which is my feet and lower back.).
Supplementing with Hemp Extract Liquid capsules by Charlotte’s Web over time
The biggest thing I notice when supplementing with the Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules by Charlotte’s Web is the fact that I don’t get the same, sorta loopy feeling I do with other similarly concentrated capsules I use. The Charlotte’s Web proprietary strain of hemp helps me to focus, but it doesn’t immediately put me to sleep like other supplements. Granted, when I take it before bed, I do fall asleep and stay asleep, but the falling asleep part is more natural, less sleep-induced by CBD supplement like I get when I take CBDmd for example. I do wake up with less discomfort than if I didn’t take ANY CBD.
The top 3 reasons you should try Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid Capsule
First of all, the capsules are very easy to take. The vegetable capsules are moderately sized, easy to swallow and don’t leave you burping up any natural plant flavors. The second great thing about this product is that while it does help to relax me, it doesn’t do so at the expense of my productivity. I feel like I get sort of washed over by a sense of calm usually between 30 minutes to 1 hour after taking the capsules, even in the middle of the day, and I can get and stay focused like Rain Man on a math problem. I also love that I can take one of these capsules at night and get relief all night and the next morning, too.
Remember these 3 things when considering Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules by Charlotte’s Web
The Hemp Extract Liquid capsules are a premium product. That means you’re gonna pay a bit more for these than some other products on the market, but they are made in a top-notch facility and have the reputation in the industry for being the best for a reason. The labeling is very busy, and although Charlotte’s Web fixed the previous issue of displaying 35 mg of Hemp Extract (while only containing 18 mg of CBD) by prominently displaying the total CBD count on the front, the overall packaging is still very busy. Finally, I absolutely abhor the way Charlotte’s Web handles its test results. If I wanted to go on a treasure hunt, I’d expect some “gold in them their hills” and to spend as much time as necessary getting to the test results only to find that they don’t disclose much just sets my teeth on edge.
The value found in the Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules by Charlotte’s Web
These capsules come in at almost $3 per capsule. That’s a little on the high side per mg of CBD, but the manufacturing is top of the line with a near-perfect cGMP audit score and considering that this product is US Hemp certified. It’s sorta like the Louie Vuitton of CBD supplements. There’s a reason those Louie bags are so expensive; they are nice, and they last a long time. Similarly, Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Liquid Capsules are easy to take, and they work, very well.
