Vegan CBD Gummies
I want to say this right off the bat: I loved almost everything about Not Pot’s Vegan CBD Gummies.
The product arrived in very cute packaging, including a few great stickers and a free stash bag, which I have already used.

How to Use This Product
The instructions are very simple. Just open the bottle, take out one gummy, chew it, swallow, and wait for the effects to kick in.
Not Pot recommends starting with one 10mg gummy per day. Used this way, the bottle lasts for one month. However, since I use CBD to manage pain, I took two in the morning and two in the evening, for a total of 40mg per day. I think that Not Pot should consider offering an extra strength or higher dosage product (say 25mg of CBD per gummy) for more seasoned CBD users like myself.
I was pleased and impressed by the ingredients in the Not Pot Vegan CBD Gummies, which include 100mg of L-Theanine, 10mg of hemp extract (aerial parts), evaporated cane juice, organic tapioca syrup, purified water, pectin (from citrus), citric acid, natural flavor, natural color, sodium citrate, and organic sunflower oil.
Not Pot Vegan CBD Gummies are Made with Pectin, Not Gelatin
Usually, CBD gummies are made with gelatin, which is an animal product. These gummies are vegan because they use pectin to bind the ingredients into its form – or, as Not Pot calls it, “the squish.” Not Pot explains that pectin is a “streeetchy, plant-based fiber made from citrus fruits” and that “they use it as a vegan alternative to gelatin, which is typically made by boiling cow hides (yuck!)”

All-Natural Food Coloring
Not Pot gummies come in 6 classic flavors: sweet and jammy (strawberry), ,nostalgic slushie (blueberry), ripe and juicy (watermelon), tropical vacation (pineapple), crisp and sweet-tart (green apple), and grown-up grape jelly (grape).
Not Pot also offers a special edition “Elderberry Immunity” flavor, which is a smart move given the current situation with COVID-19. Elderberry is an anxiety remedy traditionally used to fight upper respiratory infections and boost immunity. This gummy is also infused with zinc (limits virus replication at the nasal epithelium and may reduce respiratory tract inflammation), vitamin C (an essential vitamin with antioxidant properties that appears successful in reducing the duration of colds), magnesium (exhibits anti-inflammatory effects and may reduce asthmatic symptoms), and B vitamins (vital to supporting biochemical reactions in the immune system).
Not Pot gummies come in bright, vibrant colors, which actually caused me to question the all-natural ingredients claim. However, when I looked into it further, I understood that the gummies are colored with pigments from fruit, vegetables, and spices (like turmeric) to avoid commonly used FD&C colorants and heavy metal dyes.
In addition, Not Pot gummies are cruelty-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, and made in a Kosher facility.
Transparency & Lab Results
Not Pot is ultimately a great brand with a high-quality product, but it’s lacking in transparency. The brand claims to do third-party lab testing, but I could not locate a CoA on its website.
In terms of sourcing its hemp, Not Pot claims to partner with organic Oregon farms that “legally grow hemp in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill,” but do not mention the farm by name.
It is also not indicated anywhere on the website whether this is a full or broad spectrum product. The packaging does tell us this is a full spectrum product, but also claims it is THC-free, so that is a big discrepancy.
About the Brand
Not Pot’s branding and packaging is really fun. The brand uses bright colors, playful copy on its website, and catchy slogans.
That said, Not Pot does not mention its founders or provide any information about the company on its website. After a little digging, I found out that Not Pot was founded by a young woman named Kati Holland who quit her full-time tech job in San Francisco to work in health and wellness. She started by founding a successful adaptogenic superfood butter called Pearl Butter, before shifting towards cannabis and launching Not Pot, which started out as CBD chocolates before pivoting into gummies.
Not Pot is a fun brand, but it is also very mission driven. For me, the best part of this brand is its partnership with The Bail Project, which helps prevent incarceration and combat racial and economic disparities in the bail system. More specifically, part of Not Pot’s proceeds include bailing out individuals who have been incarcerated for cannabis offenses.
Not Pot takes a very clear stance on this issue, stating the following on its mission page:
“Cannabis has deep, tangle roots in our country. The enforcement of cannabis laws reveals some of the United States justice system’s starkest racial disparities: while cannabis use has been roughly equal among black and white Americans, black Americans are nearly four times as likely to be arrested for possession.”
In a 2018 interview with Allure, Holland is quoted as saying, “As U.S. companies, led by mainly white men, get billion-dollar valuation on the Canadian stock market, and our fellow community members simultaneously sit in jail for simple possession, we feel we have a moral obligation to bring awareness and justice to these issues.”
Not Pot goes on to state its own contribution to this cause: through its network of partners, the company helps pay for someone’s bail every month.
At a time when racial disparity is so glaring in the United States, this is a brand I can get behind. It makes me feel good to know that my money is going towards such an important cause.
Pros and Cons of Not Pot CBD Gummies
The consumer experience at Not Pot is great. It was easy to order the product online, and I received my gummies within a few days.
The brand’s website has a lot of FAQ’s and a direct contact email.
Packaging and the Unboxing Experience
Not Pot gives a great unboxing experience, which included both branded stickers with cute slogans and a stash bag.
Now that I think about it, this is similar to the unboxing experience at Glossier, which also comes with stickers and a bag. Clearly, the designer has a model that works.
The bottle itself is very colorful and attractive. The gummies are actually each embossed with “Not Pot” on them, which is a nice touch.
Bottom Line & Main Takeaways
I would definitely order this product again, and would recommend it as a great gummy option.
What I loved
I love that it is vegan, and love the all-natural ingredients. I also loved the packaging and unboxing experience. I also loved the flavor (this gummy tastes great), and definitely felt a calming effect.
I also loved that this product works. I found that it helped manage my pain and gave me a great night’s sleep – as promised.
What I didn’t
I did not love that the CoA is not available online. You can have a great product and branding; but ultimately, should provide customers with information about the CBD they are consuming.
I also think that Not Pot should offer a higher dosage option. That said, I also felt a bit drowsy throughout the day. I would have liked a product that I can take to manage my pain while remaining focused during the day as well.
