Three decades of experience in the cannabis industry
Sensi Seeds has been active in the cannabis industry for more than 30 years. It was a pioneer in the field of pharmaceutical applications of hemp. Sensi Seeds’ researchers were and still are involved in the process of developing medicinal cannabis and this activity is supported by the Dutch government.
Nowadays, Sensi Seeds is recognized as a company that possesses one of the biggest cannabis seed banks, in which you can find more than 500 varieties of cannabis. The company’s aim is to preserve the genetic diversity of the cannabis plant and to change people’s attitudes towards medicinal and recreational use of cannabis. In 1993, Sensi Seeds launched its sister-company called HempFlax, which today has one of the largest legal industrial hemp plantations in the EU, at 1500 hectares. It introduced its first CBD products back in March of 2015. CBD products offered by Sensi Seeds are locally manufactured from locally grown hemp by HempFlax cannabis.
The company is certified as ISCC Plus (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), a voluntary certification for the sustainability of biomass or biomass-based products such as food, feed, bioplastics. It is also ISO 9001:2015 compliant, indicating that it’s a well-managed company. ISO’s (International Organization for Standardization) International Standards ensure that products and services provided by organizations are safe, reliable, and high quality. ISO accreditation does provide reassurance that it is produced professionally and that their claims about sustainability are not just blunt statements.
Sensi Seeds 275 mg CBD Oil overview
Sensi Seeds is known for selling cannabis seeds, but it also offers other hemp products. One of them is the 275 mg CBD Oil in its 10 ml glass pipette bottle. The oil is manufactured from industrial hemp through supercritical CO2 extraction. Industrial hemp-derived cannabidiol doesn’t contain’s only trace amounts of THC, meaning that you won’t get high from it. However, you can find there other phytocannabinoids, the most well-known being CBD, CBC (cannabichromene), CBG (cannabigerol), and CBN (cannabinol). It also has traces of terpenes, including myrcene, limonene, alpha & beta-pinene, linalool, beta-caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, humulene, nerolidol, and phytol. Some of the terpenes that are found in cannabis have medical benefits. They are either analgesic (giving relief from pain) or anti-inflammatory. In this product, CBD oil extract is diluted in hemp seed oil, which is rich in vitamins, minerals, and healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The various ingredients in the Sensi Seeds CBD Oil cause what is called the entourage effect, intensifying each other’s health benefits.

Where are the lab test results?
When I received my Sensi Seeds CBD oil, I immediately wanted to check the lab test results of my oil (batch number 1901EN10). Unfortunately, I couldn’t find them anywhere online. I decided to contact the company through their social media platforms and through the email address provided on their website. I had to wait a few days for the answer, which was a little annoying.
When I did finally receive an email from Sensi Seeds, I was even more dissatisfied. The company only sent me proof that they have the certificates which I have described above. They didn’t attach any lab test results.
I feel disappointed with their customer service on that front. Don’t get me wrong, I still trust that Sensi Seeds CBD Oil is a high-quality product tested by third party, but with almost all other suppliers of CBD oil that I have tried, I have received the lab results either with the product or after an easy search on their website. What I don’t understand is why I, as a customer, am expected to go the extra mile to see the lab test results of CBD Oil that I’ve purchased. I would prefer Sensi Seeds to be more transparent and pay more attention to it’s customers needs.
Additives in the ingredient list
Sensi Seeds doesn’t provide an ingredient list on the 275 mg CBD Oil product page. Therefore, I was surprised that this oil also contains an emulsifier and antioxidants. I decided to purchase this oil because Sensi Seeds has more than three decades of experience in the cannabis industry. However, after further digging, to my surprise, I found out that its CBD oils are manufactured by HempFlax. I wish that information about its ingredient list would be more clearly stated on the website. I prefer it when my oils do not have any additives like lecithin or tocopherol-rich extracts. However, in this case, it may not be a bad thing, because antioxidants prevent the oil from going rancid. In turn, sunflower lecithin can help the cells to accept the cannabinoids, therefore you may notice the effects faster. I’m glad that the company decided to use sunflower lecithin, rather than soy lecithin, because soy may produce allergic reactions in some people.
My personal experience with Sensi Seeds CBD oil 275mg
Unboxing the product
Sensi Seeds 275 mg CBD Oil comes in a typical small cardboard box. On the package, we can find information about recommended use, ingredient use, and the batch number. If you would be looking for QR code, just check the bottom of the package. I feel like I should tell you that because I’ve almost missed it myself. Unfortunately, the QR code only directs you to the Sensi Seeds website, not to the lab results. General information about this CBD product is repeated on a label on a bottle. This is a rather low-strength product. The bottle is made of dark glass and the oil itself is dark, so it may be hard to see how much oil you have left in a bottle. You apply the product with the dropper. After opening the product, you can smell that it has a weedy odor, but it’s neither very strong nor unpleasant. As I mentioned before, Sensi Seeds 275 mg CBD Oil has a dark, brown color and I would say that it’s rather thick oil, therefore a tiny bit of the product can get stuck in a dropper.
Sensi Seeds recommends starting with three drops per day, and then slowly building up the dose. Of course, that may vary from person to person, but the company says that the maximum amount of drops you should place under your tongue at once shouldn’t exceed 15 drops. A drop contains approximately 1 mg CBD. You should keep the oil under your tongue for about 60 seconds to ensure proper absorption.
I took more to feel the effect
The first effect I noticed after taking Sensi Seeds 275 mg CBD oil was enhanced dream recollection. Whenever I would take this oil before going to sleep, I knew that I’d be going to have intense dreams and I would be able to remember them after waking up. Unfortunately, that was the only benefit I’ve noticed straight from the beginning of using that oil.
Sensi Seeds recommends starting with three drops per day, but for me, that wasn’t enough to feel any effect at all. I slowly increased the dosage to 15 drops (=15 mg) per time, which is the maximum dosage the company recommends. I took one dose in the morning and another dose after approximately 12 hours. I must admit that there were a few days when I exceeded the recommended amount, but luckily, I didn’t notice any adverse side effects.
With the higher dose applied daily, I was able to notice a subtle shift in my mood; I became more relaxed. However, I have also noticed that my appetite has increased. Of course, I can’t be certain whether this was a direct result of taking CBD oil or something else.
Is Sensi Seeds 275mg worth your money?
Sensi Seeds CBD Oil is a good oil for somebody who is looking for a mild strength product. It’s a high-quality hemp extract at an affordable price. Personally, I prefer CBD oils with higher potency. However, I must mention that in my opinion there is important information regarding this product that is not presented in a fully transparent way. I couldn’t find any lab results that would prove the purity of the product. Overall, I did enjoy using this product, but for me, it wasn’t as efficient as I expected it to be.
